History of Oneplus Company | Are Oppo and Oneplus the same company?

In today's post, we will discover the story of
a successful company in the mobile phone industry.
We will find out how it managed to compete with the largest phone manufacturers in the world and how it managed to earn one billion dollars in just two years since its establishment. Before starting this post don't forget to activate the subtitles and smash the like button!   OnePlus was founded by two Oppo employees, and their idea to create a phone company came from a coffee break discussion, where they noticed that all employees had Apple phones. "Why do the people around this table all use iPhones?" This is where it all started. The two founders, Pete Lau and Carl Pei wanted to produce high-end quality phones that had a lower price than other phones in this class. Therefore, OnePlus was founded in 2013, is headquartered in Shenzhen, and is currently majority-owned by Oppo. The company's success was due to the fact that it wanted to create high-end phones at affordable prices. Their slogan "Never Settle" perfectly describes this because they set out to make owning and using a smartphone a unique experience. On April 23, 2014, the company launched its first phone, the OnePlus One, which could only be purchased by invitation. The invitation-based purchasing system was used only for the first two models, being discontinued from the OnePlus 3 in 2016. The company has so far produced only 26 phone models and yet it has become one of the fastest-growing smartphone companies, with sales of over one billion dollars two years after its establishment. Although at first OnePlus only sold phones in India, it now has over 2,700 employees and operates in many countries such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Regarding the promotion campaigns of the new phones, Oneplus stood out in 2014 through the "Smash the Past" campaign, where it asked the participants to destroy their phones in a video, and then to buy a OnePlus One phone for the amount of one U.S. dollar. However, this campaign was quite confusing for some users, who destroyed their phones before the actual promotion began. In the end, out of 140,000 participants, only 100 were winners. Another campaign with many intrigues was "Ladies First", which offered free invitations to women who posted a photo with them of the OnePlus logo, photos that were to be appreciated by the members of the forum in which they were posted. Of course, this campaign was quite controversial and led to the closing of the contest in just a few hours. Although OnePlus was originally founded to produce top phones, they have expanded its portfolio with the production of headphones, TVs, fitness bracelets, and wireless chargers. So, for better or worse, OnePlus has proven to be an innovative and powerful company, managing over time to gain a good position in a market saturated with smartphones from reputable companies. If you liked this video, don't forget to like it! and below in the comments, we are waiting for you to write your opinion about OnePlus.

History of Sony Company

From rice cookers and tape recorders to magnetic tape recorders to TVs and the most successful video game consoles,  today we learn the impressive history of Sony.  Akio Morita, one of the founders of Sony, was born into a wealthy family in Japan that produces sake.  His family wanted Akio Morita to take the family business further, but he had other passions.  Mathematics and physics were his main interests,  so to his family's disappointment, he enrolled at Osaka Imperial University.  During all this time he became very concerned with sound recording techniques.  Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the Naval Forces,  where he met Masaru Ibuka, an electronics engineer who became his best friend.  It seems that this friendship, along with their acquaintances, led to the birth of the later giant company, Sony.  In 1946, the two founded Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha, an electronics store.  Their first product was a rice cooker, which turned out to be a big failure.

History of Huawei Company | Who is Huawei?

In today's post, we will travel 30 years ago to discover the story of Huawei, one of the global technology leaders.  It all started in a small apartment in Shenzhen in 1987.  Ren Zhengfei, 44, a former deputy director of the People's Liberation Army's engineering corps, founded Huawei.  When all of China's telecommunications infrastructure was imported from abroad,  Ren wanted to set up a Chinese domestic telecommunications company.  So, in the beginning, the main object of the activity was the resale of private branch exchange (PBX) switches imported from Hong Kong.  Soon, around the 1990s, the company had its own research and development center already employing about 600 employees,  who began their own development and marketing of PBX switches.  Subsequently, Huawei stood out through various major projects,  the main launch point of the company on the market being the realization of the most powerful switch in China,  the C & C08 digital phone switch.  Huawei a
